If you get the ESP32-2432S028 ( Cheap Yellow Display, CYD) from our website, Aliexpress or other agents, the board all with the NMMiner Logo.
This ESP32-2432S028 use the ST7789 lcd driver. When you try to update the firmware ( web flasher ), you should set the parameters below:
2. How to distinguish CYD st7789 or ili9341
If you get the CYD without NMMiner Logo, how to distinguish the one is ST7789 driver or ILI9341 driver?
2.1 Flash the esp32-2432s028r-st7789 to the device
- If your device is ST7789 one, it shows normal.
- If your device is ILI9341 one, the screen will be a full white screen like below. You just flash the ESP32-2432s028r-ili9341.
2.2 Flash the esp32-2432s028-ili9341 to the device
- If your device is ILI9341 one, it shows normal.
- If your device is ST7789 one, the screen shows abnormal as below. You should change to flash esp32-2432s028r-st7789.
3. A known issue
For some ESP32-2432S028 with Type-C interface, when you use the USB C-to-USB C cable to supply the device, the cable can’t power the device, the light always off, don’t blink. For this situation, it’s not the Firmware bug, you should change the cable to USB-A to USB-C.
